Does your smile need restoration from missing teeth, damage, or decay? At Desert Sage Family Dental, you can receive state-of-the-art dental restorations powered by top technologies and an expert dental team. We're proud to offer top restorative dentistry services to our patients near Phoenix, AZ!
We offer the following restorative dental services at our dental office in Phoenix, AZ:
When small cavities occur, our team will need to remove the decay from the affected tooth and replace it with a material compatible with the tooth's natural structure. At Desert Sage Family Dental, we place healthy, amalgam-free tooth-colored composite fillings — no metal fillings here!
The dental filling process begins with numbing the tooth, Then, we will use a drill to remove the affected portion of the tooth. When all decay has been removed, we will thoroughly clean, rinse, and dry the tooth before allowing the filling material to settle in. With every dental filling, we use tooth-colored material that is cured with a blue UV cure light. Once we shine the light, the material is completely set and you can go back to eating and drinking right away!
A dental crown is a full-coverage restoration that offers superior protection to the teeth. When you receive your dental crown, we will numb the affected tooth before removing any existing fillings and decay. She will use a digital scanner to take a non-invasive impression of your tooth, that our lab will use to custom-craft your permanent crown. You'll leave our office with a temporary crown, then return about two weeks later for us to place your permanent restoration.
Dental crowns can be used to stabilize a weakened tooth structure after a root canal or decay, or for cosmetic purposes to change the shape and color of the front teeth.
We fabricate dental crowns using the following durable, tooth-colored materials:
- All Porcelain
- Metal Porcelain
Root Canal Therapy
Root canal therapy is the process of cleaning out the nerve and blood supply from the center of the tooth to purify and perfect it with a dental sealing. Root canal treatment may be recommended for patients who suffer an infection at the root of the tooth, have a large cavity that reaches where the nerve lives, or if you break a large piece of the tooth from an accident.
Signs that may indicate you need root canal therapy include pain with hot or cold that lingers for several minutes and tooth pain waking you up at night. After a root canal, patients will need to get a permanent crown placed on the tooth for optimal protection.
Dr. Teiman and her staff use the powers of dental bonding to beautify and fortify missing parts of the teeth. Similar to our white fillings, we use only expertly shade-matched, tooth-colored materials to seamlessly cover chips or gaps in the teeth.
The most common and least expensive way to replace a missing tooth is a dental bridge. As the name suggests, a dental bridge connects the teeth directly adjacent to the missing tooth with a fused “bridge” called a pontic, which is a false tooth. At Desert Sage Family Dental, we offer traditional bridges, as well as those that are permanently fixed to the mouth using dental implants.
Dr. Teiman has the expertise to replace lost or missing teeth with state-of-the-art dental implants that look, feel, and function just like natural teeth. An implant consists of a titanium post (“root”) permanently anchored to the jawbone. She then places a solid dental crown just below the gumline to complete the dental implant procedure and the natural look.
We offer the following dental implant systems:
- Single Dental Implants
- Implant-Retained Overdentures (similar to All-on-4®)
Whether you need all your teeth replaced or just a few, dentures and partial dentures are a cost-effective, aesthetically pleasing tooth replacement solution! To fill the gaps left by missing teeth, our team can create custom dentures that fit your smile, including complete or partial dentures!
